Soooo....

Okay so we have only a few days to finish!
One main point here:
WE NEED PICTURES GIRLS!
and we need them now!
Now we have asked, but we've got nothing so we are going to have to take some at some point, any ideas? Nikki and I are getting some more editing at the moment and i think that we are pretty happy with it right now!
We have made the DVD stealing scene much better so it looks like its being caught on cctv or something, i'm happy with it!
Okay girlies so get back to me on the pictures? :)

First draft of poster.

This is the first digital draft of our poster, we have chosen very vibrant colours and fonts to reflect that the program features young, energetic characters and will also be watched by young, energetic people.  The ovals are where images of our characters will be placed (as we have chosen to prodominantly promote the characters to entice viewers).  It is intended to be shown on a Tuesday night as it is a night when young people are more likely at home and not out at parties etc.  To be shown at 10.00pm so that storylines can be approached that would not have been appropiate before the watershed- storylines that reflect issues that many of the target audience would have come across.

Poster research (Emma)

This hollyoaks poster (a soap with a similar target audience to our soap and is also intended for Channel 4 viewers) clearly shows the Hollyoaks logo to convey what the poster is advertising.  They have an emphatic declarative as their slogan so that their viewers will remember the message.  They have chosen to focus strongly on their characters.  Promoting them will entice readers of this text to want to watch the soap as a whole.  Therefore to emulate this proven marketing method we have also chosen to promote our just the characters on our poster instead of storylines involving them.
